THINGS TO DO WHEN YOU DON'T WANT TO STAY IN

Nightlife in Sint Marteen? Yes, please!

One of my favourite Caribbean islands is definitely Saint Martin Sint Marteen.

This island is split in 2: one side is Dutch and the other side is French.

When it comes to nightlife, I definitely prefer the Dutch side and here I will describe a couple of reasons behind it...

1. Bliss

An al fresco nightclub that brings a little Miami flavour to St. Maarten. Bliss is practically on the beach, with wooden decks, cabana lounges, cushioned seating, and a heated wading pool to get the youngish crowd in a mellow frame of mind. When the nightly entertainment (live performers or DJs spinning tunes) kicks in, most often post-midnight, the crowd is up on its feet. 'Place-to-be' type of thing...

2. Pineapple Pete

Wildly popular, Pineapple Pete has pool tables, a dance floor, live bands almost every night, and a great menu of both casual pub fare and finer food like crab stuffed shrimp and lobster thermidor - why not?!

3. Tantra

Popular with locals and tourists, it's a fab place to have a couple of drinks during the week and on weekends. It's a dance club so put on your dancing shoes and go with it!

I am working on a full post on this island! Stay tuned! xoxo
