THINGS TO DO WHEN YOU DON'T WANT TO STAY IN

Musts in South Kensington

It is very unlikely you are not going to pass or stop by South Kensington when in London. The Natural History Museum is there, the amazing V&A (Victoria and Albert) is there, the Science Museum, The Royal Albert Hall...

So, this post has a suggestion for a hotel in South Kensington (with the bonus of an Italian restaurant and a place for tea), a breakfast/brunch spot in the area, and a must-visit store that carries the best eclair in London!

The Ampersand Hotel is a great idea for your stay in London. Location is central and excellent (the tube/subway is 3 minutes away), the decor is inviting and exciting AND they have a cute afternoon tea AND a great Italian restaurant, Apero, all in the same building! Impossible to go wrong.

Gotta love a hotel that boasts style and simplicity at the same time.

Apero, the Italian restaurant immediately below the hotel, serves breakfast, lunch, brunch, dinner and amazing drinks. It is one of my favorite spots in London. Great food in a nice nice nice setting.

Apero! Go!

Right next to the tube/subway station (South Kensington) another delicious option for breakfast, brunch and lunch awaits: Muriel's Kitchen. Try their staple Popeyes, the eggs cooked in the bread! Or the massive and tasty "sundaes" of Greek yogurt. They also serve the traditional Full English breakfast everyday until noon (2pm on weekends).

Decor is also cute at Muriel's!

The cherry on this South Kensington cake has to be Maître Choux, best eclair in London and a joyful little shop to visit. They also serve amazing coffee (Monmouth) and superb tea (Lalani & Co). Don't go on a diet! Scroll down for pics and you will see why!

Mind you that all of the places are less than five minutes from each other. A block worth your time!
