SHORT SHARP SWEET TIPS

Red Lips, Pah!

I grew up with a mom who always wore red lipstick. I still remember that Paloma Picasso red lips and the perfume bottle and scent she also wore like it were today.

It wasn't until I had kids though that I realized a red lipstick was a great distraction for a tired looking face (endless sleepless nights anyone?!). So, yeah, I usually have a red lip on - day or night - and I am always looking for good options. Here are my favorites, some are all-time classics and others are new buys.

MAC's Ruby Woo, a classic favorite, very matte texture which I like but not for everyone.

Maybelline's Super Stay Matte Ink in Pioneer, super pigmented, great applicator.

MAC's Vic Ceridono collab, a little darker than your usual red, still bold and "pah effect".

Brazilian brand Vult color 01, open red, very affordable, same shade as MAC's Russian Red

Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor in Passion, great texture and feel.

Boyracer Lip Bullet by Topshop, with an orange under tone, a little brighter red I think. Price is awesome too.
