The Tower of London Remembers

If you have seen these images a lot today is because this installation marks the centenary of the first world war. Each flower represents a British soldier who died and the display around the Tower of London is simply beautiful.

A lot of work has happened behind the scenes to have this put together. The making off was made available by Historic Royal Places, a true labor of love to have 888,246 ceramic poppies ready:

The installation Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red was created by ceramic artist Paul Cummins, with setting by stage designer Tom Piper.

The Guardian put together an aerial view of the installation with music here.

Most importantly you can buy a poppie here. All money will be donated to charities.
